WHAT MAKES THERMO-TREATED 3D GROOVED SIDING SO SPECIAL?

Premium Thermally Modified 3D Grooved Siding has a unique design accented by the deep, thin grooves on the surface. It is durable for 25 years due to the thermo-treatment process. The siding is made from laminated thermo-treated hardwoods, which accents a variety of wood grains.

The boards are covered with a double UV protection oil (Hard Wax Oil + Thompson's Clear Oil) on all four sides. The oil penetrates in the grooves to make them darker than other wood and accent this unique pattern.

Our thermo-treated 3D Grooved Siding doesn't have any analogous on the market and is superior to any existing architectural siding products in this segment.

ADVANTAGES OF THERMO-TREATMENT FOR GROOVED SIDING

Essential Durability
Thermo treatment is a chemical-free process resulting in unmatched durability and natural resistance to termites and pests.

Lowest Maintenance
The improved dimensional stability allows for extended maintenance intervals compared to other wood products.

Repels Moisture
Thermally-treated wood naturally repels moisture to prevent the warping, shrinking, and swelling of the wood.

Class B Fire Rating
Reduced combustibility due to thermo-treatment.

Exotic wood look
The brown color is consistent beyond the surface.

ADVANTAGES OF FACORY OILING

  • Makes product ready to use;

  • Prevents fading of color under sunlight;

  • Prevents seasonal surface checking;

  • It makes wood grain sound and attractive;

  • Our free FOUR side oiling saves you $2-4/SF, which contractors usually charge for ONE-side surface oiling on site; oiling of the back side is extremely important to increase the lifetime and performance of your siding.

INSTALLATION TIPS

  • Cut it, sand it, nail it, drill it, paint, or stain it as you would practically any standard-grade lumber, using the same standard tools.

  • Consider that thermo-treated wood is drier (4% EMC), lighter in weight, and slightly more brittle than non-treated wood.

  • Install wood siding with finishing nails (# 16 or 18, of 1.5"-2" long), nailing on the tongue and through the face when needed.

  • Saw speed will affect the cut quality; generally, the higher the saw power, the better the cut quality.

  • A high-quality sealant with UV protection should be used after the first one to two years.
